Just when I think things are starting to slow down, they go into overdrive again when I least expect it. And it's for that reason I missed a whole week in my "Week in Photos" posting. But no worries, this weeks post is a double header. Main thing to report is THE WEATHER!! Its been so hot in Toronto and its only May. Im so scared what June and July are going to be like. Don't get me wrong, I love the heat, when Im at the beach or by the water but not when Im running around the city going to meetings, sweating my makeup off! Not cute! That reminds me, did you check out my "how to keep your makeup on in the summer heat" posting? Make sure you do for some great tips.

The aftermath after a long day on set.

I was working on set for a commercial and we were shooting at this house. But all I could think about was jumping in the pool. It was such a tease!

On set on location. Even though we were shooting outside for this commercial, they still had to set up these massive lights to fake more sun!

My good friend from Vancouver was in Toronto visiting so of course I had to take him out to show him around. It was his first time in the city and I think he loved it.

I went to my first baseball game ever! It was so fun. Yay go BlueJays!

Haifa Wehbe Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial

This famous Lebanese singer is known for being drop dead gorgeous. Haifa Wehbe has perfected the black smokey eye look. Its her signature look that she does no matter what the occasion is. Have fun playing around with this look, switch up the eye shadow colors if you like.

My Week in Photos May 11 2013

Its been another hectic week. But everything is better when the sun is shinning and it started off as a gorgeous week in Toronto. It was a week full of work and play, just the way I like it.

I discovered this store on Queen St called Chatelet. I fell in love with its Parisian vibe and wanted everything in the store.

Speaking of Parisian vibe, I did a shoot with jewellery designer Maryam Keyhani. Maryam's pieces are sold around the world. We did a portrait shoot with her in her lovely home. I fell in love with it as soon as I walked in.

Right after that shoot I jumped on the plane and headed to London for a few days. My fave drink is a London Fog.

Had to make a stop at Harrods for a little shopping and lunch.

I love London. Its one of my fave cities. Here's a shot of Regent St at night

I swear I have the best clients. Im so lucky I get to work with amazingly beautiful people inside and out. This is one of my fave clients. We've worked together several times and we like to play around with different looks every time. Its always fun to experiment and remember makeup is not permanent so just enjoy it!

Riri Woo & Mac Cosmetics

Rihanna just launched her new lipstick collaboration with Mac Cosmetics called Riri Woo. This is the signature red lipstick that her makeup artist has been using on her. This is one of my favourite red lipsticks to use on all my clients. Here's a little video showing Riri Woo and how fab it is. If you're thinking about getting it and making this your staple red lip, I totally recommend. However, the Riri edition did sell out. But the original colour from Mac is actually called Ruby Woo so you can still get that anytime. Enjoy!

Its been another busy week filled with shoots, events, videos and most importantly PASTRIES!

I got to work on this photo shoot with the amazing couple behind Ela Handbags, Ela and Martin Aldorsson. If you haven't seen the line, you've got to check it out www.elahandbags.com Ela, the creative force behind the line was incredibly sweet and had a great sense of style. And she loved makeup so I had a great time with her on this shoot.

I recently read about this skin care line called Eve Lom so of course I had to try it. I tried out their Moisture Mask for a week. It is a beautiful hydration mask especially great for really dry skin.

I love attending events for previewing new product launches and this event with Lise Watier was extra sweet. It was held at the cutest bakery on Queen St in Toronto. The event was to introduce their new Something Sweet Fragrance. They also announced their new contest for finding the face of Something Sweet. My highlight of my week was finding this new bakery on King & Bathurst called Biroche Dore. Baked goods are my weakness (amongst many other things) and this place had the freshest pastries. I just sat in there for hours just so I can smell all the stuff that kept coming out of the oven.

I love working with great teams and meeting new people in the industry. This week was all about that. All the amazing people that I get to meet is one of the best parts of my job.

This is Sam. She is gorgeous. She was the model from a recent shoot I worked on. She's half Japanese, half British. She was so lovely inside and out.

I love makeover shows and I used to always watch the show "Look Alike" So when I found out that I would be doing the makeup & hair for one of the stars from that show, Alissia Marciano I was so excited. I loved working with her. She was even more gorgeous in real life than she was on TV.

All set up and ready to go for another shoot. It always start pretty but by the end of the day, its a mess!

Hi Guys!
Well Im back from my trip and it was amazing! I had the best time. Its hard to have to come back to reality. I wish I could have stayed there for another month! But Im back and that means back to work! Ive been working on a bunch of exciting new projects. Cant wait to tell you guys all about them.

This year has flown by so fast already! Cant believe its already March and another birthday has passed. Cant say which birthday. That'll have to stay a secret. Last weekend I got to work with four incredible actresses for the Canadian Screen Awards. I had the pleasure of doing makeup for Sandra Oh, Kristin Lehman, Kristin Kreuk and Erica Durance. They all had a very different look and style. I teamed up with amazing hair stylist, Gilad and wardrobe stylist Sima Kumar. Kristin Lehman Motive Press Tour

I recently had the chance to work with actress Kristin Lehman the star of the new show Motive. We worked for 2 full days together as she did the rounds for the shows press tour. The first day, we went for a more casual undone look. She wore a black turtle neck and strong statement necklace so I pulled her hair back to show off the outfit. I put her hair up in a messy updo to not make her look to done up. For her makeup, I used soft bronze shadows on her eyes and a warm berry lip. You can view this look that she wore on the Marilyn Denis Show.

For day 2, I kept her hair down with some soft waves. Her makeup was softer on the eyes and I added a pair of lashes. For her lips, I went for more of a coral lip to go with her green pants and beige top.

We changed her look one more time for her eTalk interview. I added more curl to her hair and a pop of burgundy red on her lips to match her shoes. This looked great since her outfit was all black and had an old hollywood vibe.

Beautiful Bride Amanda

I love my brides and my bride Amanda was extra special because she was my first wedding client since I've moved to Toronto. She was so beautiful and sweet, I couldnt have asked for a better first client in the city. She wasnt afraid of doing a bit more with her makeup so I gave her a soft smoky eye and add a pair of lashes for some drama. For her hair we wanted sexy curls that were loose and didnt look too done.
